Former Cathay Pacific CEO and current chairman of UK airline investment group Aviation Partners Worldwide (APW) Peter Sutch has resigned from his post citing health reasons.

APW chief executive and former CEO of Australia’s National Jet Systems, Warren Seymour, is to act as chairman of the company pending the appointment of a replacement.

Sutch’s resignation is effective immediately. He had recently guided the company, formerly known as Tolmount, through the acquisition of British Airways’ Italian franchise partner National Jet Italia (NJI), before the airline suspended operations in the midst of transferring to new ownership.

He is the second director to leave the company in the space of two weeks, following the announcement of Hans Olsen’s departure at the end of November.
