Avinco plans to broaden its activity in the Americas this year after completing a strong performance in 2013 with a total of 29 helicopter transactions.

The company says its trading activity increased in the medium to heavy segments, with seven purchases and eight sales in Asia, North and South America, Europe and Africa.

Last year Avinco broadened its activities in the Asian market with commercial director Joanna Lumanlan overseeing operations in the region. Viviane Mello also joined Avinco from Brazil as a commercial director, based in Monaco.

The company, which celebrated 10 years of trading, also intensified its financing activity and leasing services for large and small operators. These services were developed in response to a growing demand from customers, says Avinco.

“Leasing and financing services will be key again in 2014,” says François Gautier, chief executive of Avinco. “We will continue to be creative, provide turnkey packages, and address very specific requirements. Avinco’s plans for 2014 also include expansion into the North and South American markets.”

Recent financing contracts cover Airbus Helicopters BK117 and AS365N2 models operated in search-and-rescue and utility operations in Africa, as well as an EC145 operated offshore in Mexico.
