Avitas hires ex-GMT Global Miller

Mike Miller has returned to aircraft valuation and aviation consulting company Avitas, 13 years after being employed as director consulting.

Miller, who returns a senior director of valuation and consulting, joins from GMT Global (ex-Republic-Financial Corporation) where he had been the head of market assessment between 2006 and 2009.

Previously he served as director – market planning and analysis Rolls-Royce North America for four years. Between 1999 and 2002, he was senior director – market analysis and research at Fairchild Dornier.  

At GMT Global and Republic-Financial Corporation, Miller made recommendations on aircraft leasing acquisitions and disposal to senior management as well as providing risk assessment of future residual values on specific aircraft assets for aircraft transactions.

In his new position at Avitas, Miller will share time between asset valuation and consulting. His valuation work will range from aircraft value and economic assessments to contributing to the company’s value opinions on all aircraft. In consulting, he will be working on specific consulting assignments relating to aviation economics, market assessments, and airline and aircraft analysis.
