Operating lessor Avolon Aerospace has confirmed the acquisition of a new Boeing 777-300ER aircraft from TAM Linhas Aereas, part of LATAM group.
The aircraft (MSN 40588) was acquired under a purchase and leaseback transaction.
The lessor says the aircraft was financed using its existing warehouse facility.
It is the second new 777-300ER delivery sold by the Brazilian carrier under a sale and leaseback transaction this year. The first aircraft (MSN 40589) closed at the end of July and was sold to Fly Leasing.
A third 777-300ER is expected in December this year, Flightglobal’s Ascend online database shows. In 2014, TAM has one more 777-300ER delivery in June.
