Avolon Capital Partners – the joint-venture aircraft lessor formed by Avolon and Wells Fargo last year - has closed its fourth aircraft acquisition.

The lessor purchased a Boeing 737-800 from GECAS with a lease attached to Chinese carrier Xiamen Airlines.

The purchase follows the acquisition of an Airbus A320 placed under a lease agreement with Garuda Indonesia’s subsidiary Citilink earlier this month.

The Avolon Capital Partners’ portfolio also include another A320 with Avianca Holdings and a 737-800 leased to Ryanair that were purchased last year.

Under the joint-venture agreement, Avolon identifies and manages the assets, Wells Fargo provides banking and debt financing facilities.
