Aircraft lessor AWAS has announced the appointment of Carter White to the new integrated position of managing director for Europe, Middle East and Africa sales and head of aircraft trading.
White has been with AWAS since 2004, and the company says that he has implemented a successful trading strategy for its aircraft sales and acquisitions. Prior to that, he was senior vice-president of marketing for Transamerica Finance's commercial aviation finance group.
"Carter has been an integral part of the AWAS business for nearly 10 years," says chief commercial officer Marlin Dailey. "His experience at AWAS combined with his deep industry knowledge, established relationships with customer airlines, OEMs and key industry stakeholders make him the ideal person for this new integrated role."
