Operating lessor AWAS has secured financing for two new Boeing 737-800s delivered earlier this week to Scandinavian carrier Norwegian Air Shuttle.
The Dublin-based lessor financed one aircraft under a 12-year US Export-Import Bank (Ex-Im) facility guaranteed by Private Export Funding (PEFCO).
The second aircraft was financed under a combination of a Credit Agricole Corporate & Investment Bank (CA-CIB) conduit facility and internal cash.
Norwegian received (MSN 39435) on 4 February and (MSN 39434) on 7 February. These are the fifth and sixth 737-800s, from the AWAS order pipeline.
