Operating lessor AWAS has delivered a second Airbus A320 to Russian flag-carrier Aeroflot from its new order pipeline.
The aircraft (MSN 5565) is the second of a five-aircraft operating lease package agreed last November. An additional new delivery was agreed earlier this year.
The new delivery was financed with export credit agency (ECA) support with the debt portion provided by Apple Bank for Savings.
The first A320 (MSN 5536) was delivered to Aeroflot in February. According to Flightglobal's Ascend Online database, AWAS already has one A320 on lease to the Russian carrier. The 2009-vintage aircraft (MSN 3785) was acquired in 2012 with a six-and-a-half-year lease to Aeroflot from GE Capital Aviation Services.
