Dublin-based lessor AWAS financed the final Boeing 737-800 aircraft on lease to Indian budget carrier SpiceJet through its $500 million non-recourse warehouse facility with JP Morgan.
The aircraft (MSN 39430), equipped with CFM56-7B24 engines, is the last of the five planned 737-800s delivered to the airline under an operating lease contract.
Three 737-800s delivered to Spicejet between May and October last year.
The fourth aircraft (MSN 39428), delivered in February was financed under a 12-year US Export-Import Bank (Ex-Im) facility guaranteed by Private Export Funding (PEFCO). Natixis was the overall arranger in the transaction.
