Azerbaijan Airlines has taken delivery of the first of four new Embraer 190 jets.
The aircraft will be based at Baku's Heydar Aliyev International airport and is scheduled to begin flying from the Azerbaijani capital to Nakhchievan and Tbilisi before flying longer international routes in the near future, says the Central Asian carrier.
The remaining three aircraft are scheduled for delivery by year-end and will all be configured with 106 "Elite" seats in a single-class layout.
Azerbaijan's flag carrier placed its firm order for the aircraft in November 2012. The deal was valued at $181 million at list prices at the time.
