Azerbaijan Airlines will use internal funds to finance its Embraer 170/190 upcoming deliveries in the second part of this year.

The Baku-based carrier received the first of four new 106-seat E-190s it has on order on 4 July and financed the delivery with cash, according to a source.

The three remaining aircraft are scheduled for delivery by the end of the year.

The four E-190s are part of an acquisition of six E-Jets.

Azerbaijan Airlines has also acquired two used 76-seat E-170s from ECC Leasing. The aircraft (MSN 1700002, 1700005) were built in 2002 and entered service with Paramount Airways in 2006, according to Flightglobal's Ascend Online database.
