Brazil's third largest airline, Azul, has received authorisation to operate new routes from Sao Paulo Guarulhos International airport to Brasilia and Porto Alegre.

According to the airline, the new Embraer 195-operated routes will be launched on 27 April. Brasilia will be served with 18 weekly frequencies, and Porto Alegre with 10.

These flights are reinforcing the airline's presence at its Guarulhos hub, which has become Azul's second largest operation in Sao Paulo state after its Campinas base.
