Brazilian carrier Azul plans to begin flights to the northern cities of Macapa and Boa Vista from next month, adding the remaining two state capitals that it does not serve to its network.
Macapa is the capital of Amapa state, while Boa Vista is the capital of Roraima.
The carrier will operate thrice daily between Macapa and Belem in northern Brazil from 30 March, and begin twice daily flights between Boa Vista and Manaus from 4 April, it says. The flights are subject to approval from Brazil's civil aviation authority ANAC.
With the addition of Macapa and Boa Vista, Azul will serve 102 destinations. The airline has its hub at Viracopos-Campinas International Airport.
Azul will compete against both Gol and TAM on the two routes, schedules in Innovata show. The two Brazilian carriers operate several times a week on both routes.
