Brazilian low-cost carrier Azul has received regulatory approval to launch flights between Porto Alegre and Maringa, two cities in southern Brazil.
The carrier will operate daily on the route from 16 June, it says.
Azul will be the only carrier operating non-stop between Porto Alegre and Maringa.
In addition, Azul says it has received authorisation to add a third daily frequency between Londrina and Curitiba, two cities in the southern state of Parana.
Both Gol and TAM also operate non-stop between Londrina and Curitiba.
