BA, Messier and ASC partner for 787 wheel & brake MRO

British Airways Engineering is cooperating with Messier-Bugatti-Dowty and London-based rotable part repair management firm Airline Services Components (ASC) to offer Boeing 787 wheel and brake support to third-party customers.

The three companies have signed a preliminary partnership agreement whereby BA's technical arm provides engineering services; the manufacturer conducts repair and overhaul; and ASC manages the customer support.

Maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) services will be directly available to 787 operators at Heathrow, Gatwick, Manchester, Brussels, Amsterdam and Oslo airports or through BA Engineering's and ASC's network.

ASC is led by former BA Engineering employees. The company, which is located near Heathrow, also offer interior repair services.
