A consortium of banks has closed financing on a new Airbus A380 equipped with GP7270 engines acquired by Doric Nimrod Air Two.

Chinese banks Bank of China, Industrial and Commercial Bank of China teamed up with Germany's Commerzbank to provide the debt on the delivery, MSN 105, which will be leased to Emirates Airline for a period for 12 years.

The aircraft is the third of the initial three aircraft purchased through Doric Nimrod Air Two. The other two aircraft, MSNs 77 and 90, were closed last year.

Emirates Airline now operates 24 A380s and has 66 aircraft on backlog.
