Boeing Capital Corporation (BCC) put up funds for Hawaiian Airlines' purchase of 15 leased Boeing 717-200 aircraft in a refinancing transaction that reduces the airline's long-term fleet costs. The airline is also leasing three additional Boeing 717-200 aircraft from BCC.

"Hawaiian has purchased the aircraft it previously operated under long term leases from BCC with financing provided by BCC and entered into multi-year leases for the three additional 717s," the airline says in a statement.

Terms of the transactions were not released.
