Beijing airport passenger numbers up 7.2% in December

Beijing Capital International Airport (BCIA) has posted a 7.2% increase in passenger numbers to 6.56 million for December 2012, compared with the same period a year ago.

The airport's domestic passenger numbers increased by 7.4% and its passenger numbers on international routes, including Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan, increased by 6.6%.

Aircraft movements in the month rose by 5.7% to 46,300, compared with the same period a year ago.

For 2012, aircraft movements grew by 4.5% year on year to 557,000, while passenger numbers at the airport increased by 4.1% to 81.9 million.
