Beijing airport passenger traffic up 5.4% in August

Beijing Capital International airport (BCIA) has posted a 5.4% rise in passenger traffic to 7.37 million in August, compared with the same period a year ago.

Domestic passenger traffic increased by 3.6%, while international passenger traffic grew by 11.2% from the corresponding period last year. Its international passenger traffic numbers include those from Hong Kong, Taiwan and Macau, said the airport.

Aircraft movements rose by 1.9% to 47,000 from a year ago, added BCIA.
