Belarussian flag carrier Belavia is to undertake a comprehensive rebranding exercise.
Management has held consultations with a dozen domestic and foreign advertising specialists, of which two or three will be invited to submit rebranding concepts and competitive cost evaluations as part of a bidding contest to be held in the autumn.
"We've already introduced new uniforms for our cabin crew," says Belavia's deputy director for marketing and foreign economic activity Igor Chegrinets. "The last phase of the corporate rebranding will involve a new logo, livery and signage design in order to revamp our image and identity in the market."
Belavia has transported more than a million passengers so far in 2013, with numbers up a quarter in the first seven months. In 2011, the one-million mark was only reached in December, while last year it was reached in September, says general manager Anatoly Gusarov.
"With ramped-up capacity, frequencies and route network, there are now more flight options in our schedule for passengers," he adds. "Hopefully, our annual passenger numbers will exceed 1.5 million in 2013."
