Biman Bangladesh Airlines has approached again the market with a request for proposals (RFP) for the lease of two Boeing 747-400 aircraft on ACMI (wet) basis for its Hajj operations in 2012.

Biman is looking at 747-400 offerings no older than 20 years of age with a passenger seating capacity of 500 and above, according to the terms of the RFP.

The aircraft will be operated between Dhaka, Bangladesh and Jeddah. Biman plans to operate the aircraft between 15 September and 21 October (pre-hajj phase), while the post-hajj phase is scheduled between 1 November and 1 December.

Offers have to be submitted by 13 June 2012.

The RFP follows a request for the lease of three 747-400 aircraft on ACMI (wet) basis in March.
