Biman Bangladesh Airlines has approached financiers with two request for proposals (RFP) covering two new Boeing 777-300ERs as it seeks funding on the senior portion of the net delivery price, plus 100% of the US Export Import Bank's exposure fee. .
The carrier is looking at senior debt loan proposals under the first RFP. The $290 million financing is for 12 years.
Biman has obtained a preliminary commitment from Ex-Im for a financing guarantee.
Biman also requires up to $66 million in commercial loan proposals covering the two deliveries.
The loans will be supported by a guarantee from the Bangladesh government.
The first aircraft is scheduled for delivery in February 2014, and the second in March next year.
Proposals are due by 5 September 2013.
