BMI is to launch a new London Heathrow-Vienna route from 28 March as it increases links with Star Alliance partner and sister carrier Austrian Airlines.

The new service will see BMI operating twice-daily services to the Austrian capital using Airbus A320s.

The services will operate as a codeshare arrangement with Austrian.

Following introduction of the new services the two Star partners, both subsidiaries of Lufthansa Group, will have five daily frequencies between the two cities.
