Boeing books new 737 order cancellations

Boeing added one 737 order to its net backlog for the type on 11 December.

The minor change reflects reflects a week in which the company lost orders for three 737s but gained one order for four.

The source of the cancelled orders for three 737s was not identified.

General Electric-owned aircraft lessor GECAS was disclosed last week as they buyer of four more 737s, raising their total orders for the Boeing aircraft this year to 89.

Boeing's net 737 orders for the year improved by one to 1,032, as of 11 December.

Boeing also booked a previously disclosed order by Turkish Airlines for 15 777s last week.

Boeing's overall net orders this year rose to 1,068 aircraft, which includes a total of 107 cancellations.
