Boeing broke ground on its new Everett Delivery Center 5 March, as the company continues a significant acceleration of output over the next two years.

The 16,700sq m (180,000sq ft) complex at the company's Everett, Washington campus will include twin jetways, modern offices, conference rooms and customer accommodations. The facility opens in 2013 and operates as a base for the more than 150 customer representatives that work on-site in the delivery centre.

The company began demolition of its existing 5,600sq m delivery centre in January.

Boeing plans to boost production to more than 250 widebody aircraft per year by the end of 2013.
