Boeing has delivered Aeromexico's first Boeing 787-8, leased from ILFC.

The aircraft left for Mexico City today following a delivery in Everett, Washington, on 15 August.

Aeromexico will unveil the aircraft in a ceremony at Mexico City on 21 August.

"The arrival of Aeromexico's first Boeing 787 Dreamliner represents a milestone for the Mexican aviation history," says Andres Conesa, chief executive officer of Aeromexico. "Our customers will surely benefit from the world-class service that distinguishes Aeromexico, which we now bring on board the most modern aircraft ever built."

Aeromexico has an order of 19 787s, comprising nine 787-8s and 10 787-9s. Five of the 787-8s will be on lease from ILFC.

The SkyTeam carrier's 787-8s will be configured with 32 business class seats and 211 economy class seats.
