Boeing has opened a service centre in Beijing to provide airlines with operational and aftermarket support.

The Chinese-speaking team comprises pilots and other specialists for flight operations, spare part supply and maintenance engineering.

Approximately 800 Boeing aircraft are currently in operation in China.

The new facility will help to overcome language barriers and difficulties due to the time difference, said Marc Allen, the airframer's president for China.
