Boeing customer Sky Peace Limited has canceled an order for a single VIP configured 787-8 Dreamliner.

Sky Peace purchased the 787 on behalf of Joseph Lau a Hong Kong-based real estate mogul in 2007.

The order termination comes on the heels of recent 787 cancellations by Russian airline S7 Group and Dubai-based LCAL. In 2009, Boeing has seen cancellations of 33 787 aircraft. Azerbaijan Airlines made the first 787 cancellation in 2008 after swapping one aircraft it had on order for a 787.

Boeing's 787 backlog currently stands at 878 aircraft from 57 customers, down from a high of 910 aircraft from 59 customers in December of 2008. Fifteen of 787 aircraft have been ordered by VIP customers.
