Boeing is shutting down its Connexion unit, forcing 11 carriers to cease offering an in-flight internet service. Several carriers said the service was well received by passengers and were planning to extend it to more flights and aircraft. But the manufacturer concluded demand was not sufficient and it is now working with customers on "an orderly phase out of the Connexion by Boeing service".
