Boeing Shanghai Aviation Services has received an EASA maintenance certification to perform Boeing 777-200 and 777-300 maintenance checks.

The Shanghai, China-based maintenance organisation will add line maintenance and base maintenance capabilities for the aircraft, as well as component repair and overhaul.

Boeing Shanghai received its EASA maintenance certificate in July 2010 for heavy and line maintenance on next-generation Boeing 737 models as well as the Boeing 767-200 and 767-300 aircraft types.

The MRO has since signed European customers LOT Polish Airlines and and Air Italy for Boeing 767-300ER heavy maintenance checks.

Boeing Shanghai is a joint venture between Boeing, Shanghai Airport Authorities and China Eastern Airlines. It currently operates a hangar at Pudong International Airport and plans to add another in 2014.
