Bombardier has forged a new repair agreement with Icelandair covering repair work on engine nose cowls for the carrier's Boeing 757 fleet.

The latest pact follows a five-year contract Bombardier previously secured with the Reykjavik-based airline.

Bombardier stressed it has more than 15 years experience in repairing Rolls-Royce RB211 535E4 engine nose cowls and stated it is "constantly drawing on that expertise to engineer innovative repair solutions at our Belfast maintenance, repair and overhaul facility".

Flightglobal's ACAS fleet database shows that Icelandair operates 16 757-200s, one 757-200PF and a single 757-300.
