Uruguay's regional carrier BQB Lineas Aereas will launch flights between Montevideo and Porto Alegre from 8 February, as it continues to expand its ATR 72 fleet.

The airline received its fourth ATR 72-500, which was formerly operated by Iberia's regional franchise partner Air Nostrum, earlier in January.

According to the airline, the aircraft will be used to increase its presence in Brazil beginning with the daily flight to Porto Alegre. The route is currently served by GOL with a Boeing 737-800.
