Brazil’s National Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC) is ready award the Belo Horizonte Confins and Rio de Janeiro Galeao airport concessions on 22 November.
Offers from private consortiums are due on 18 November with the selection of the preferred bidder on 22 November, the agency says today. Consortiums who do not submit all of the required documents and are disqualified will be notified on 21 November.
Interested consortiums include ADC & HAS, ADP/Schiphol, BAA/Ferrovial, Changi, Fraport and Flughafen Munich/Flughafen Zurich, based on local reports.
The 30-year Confins concession requires a minimum bid of Brazilian reals (R) 990 million ($427 million) and a capital investment of R3.6 billion, while the 25-year Galeao concession has a R4.73 billion minimum bid and a R5.8 billion capital investment.
Amit Rikhy, vice-president and head of acquisitions for ADC & HAS, told Airline Business in October that they were “happy” with the tender process and planned to submit a bid for one of the airports.
