Brazil's SATA acquires Aruba ground handler AGS

Brazilian ground handling company SATA has announced the acquisition of AGS which operates at the Aruba Queen Beatrix International Airport for an undisclosed sum.

SATA already operates at 27 major airports in Brazil as well at the international airport of the Uruguayan capital Montevideo.

The company says the acquisition is “a new step in its international growth strategy” and that “the combination of SATA's operational know-how and AGS’ market experience” will help it grow in the Caribbean region.

SATA recently joined the Aviance global alliance of ground handlers.
