BTMU finances A321 for VALC

Vietnam Aircraft Leasing (VALC) has closed financing on another A321 aircraft equipped with International Aero Engines V2533-A5 engines.

Lender Bank of Tokyo Mitsubishi UFJ is the sole arranger of a 12-year export credit agency (ECA) backed loan guaranteed by Germany's Euler Hermes.

The aircraft (MSN 5456) is part of 10-aircraft $561 million package for forward lease to Vietnam Airlines. In previous financings, AKA Bank, Bank of Tokyo Mitsubishi UFJ, Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation, KfW Ipex-Bank and Landesbank Hessen-Thuringen Girozentrale (Helaba) participated in the ECA transactions.

VALC has two more aircraft (MSNs 5495 and 5555) scheduled for delivery through April 2013.
