Bulgaria Air says it is negotiating a further order of Embraer aircraft to supplement the four Embraer 190s it is due to receive over 2012.
The Bulgarian flag carrier's chief financial officer, Yonka Kotova, tells Flightglobal Pro: "The discussions are for an eventual mix of E-175s and E-190s."
She said that the types ordered will depend on how the airline decides to deploy its three Airbus A319s and three A320s after this year's scheduled Embraer deliveries.
She says negotiations centre on the possibility of five more aircraft, all of which will be leased.
The new order would help Bulgaria Air increase charter operations and expand its regional network, particularly in the Balkans.
