AirAsia closed the financing of one new Airbus A320 aircraft with lenders Crédit Agricole Corporate & Investment Bank (CA-CIB) and Tokyo Star Bank.
The Airbus A320, MSN 5153, was delivered to AirAsia Japan on 7 June 2012.
CA-CIB also acted as facility agent and security trustee of the commercial loan with a 12-year term.
AirAsia Japan is Japan's newest low-cost carrier. It was established by ANA Group (67%) and AirAsia (33%) in August 2011. The joint venture airline will start operation in August with an initial fleet of two A320 aircraft serving Sapporo, Fukuoka and Okinawa from Narita airport.
It plans to grow its fleet to four aircraft by the end of 2012.
