CAE and Aviation Performance Solutions (APS) have extended their contract to provide academic and in-flight upset prevention and recovery training (UPRT) to flight instructors and student cadets at CAE Oxford Aviation Academy.
Students will be trained on basic UPRT, while a professional pilot UPRT programme will be held for instructors.
The partners will conduct simulator training in CAE's Embraer 145 full flight simulator at an Arizona State University campus at Phoenix-Mesa Gateway airport.
APS has started training student cadets and instructors from CAE Oxford Aviation Academy as part of CAE's Air Transport Pilot License (ATPL) programme. It is also providing ground school and in-flight training using Extra 300L aircraft.
Starting 2013, the partners will conduct UPRT training to 200 instructors and cadets each year in Mesa city.
