Training and simulation equipment and services provider CAE's third-quarter revenue increased by 10% to C$453.1 million ($455.8 million), lifting pre-tax profit 12% to C$61.3 million.

Civil sector operating profit was up 31% to C$42 million as sales gained 13% to C$203.7 million, representing a slight slowing in the quarter.

In the third quarter CAE sold 11 full-flight simulators, bringing its nine-month total orders to 30, exceeding the total for the whole of the previous financial year.

A highlight of the period was the signing of training services contracts expected to generate C$122.2 million in future revenue, including an exclusive long-term agreement with FlyDubai in the United Arab Emirates. CAE also broadened its footprint in South East Asia with the announcement of a training joint venture with Cebu Pacific Air in the Philippines.
