Air Canada’s widely publicised lawsuit against WestJet for corporate espionage is over. The rival airlines settled the case with WestJet’s formal apology, reimbursement of Air Canada’s legal expenses, and a C$10.5 million ($9.5 million) donation to charities. Air Canada alleged that WestJet improperly tapped into a restricted website and used Air Canada load factor data for its route planning.
