Sofia-based Cargo Air has contracted Air France Industries KLM Engineering & Maintenance (AFI KLM E&M) to provide component support for its Boeing 737 freighter fleet.
The Bulgarian carrier first became a customer of the Franco-Dutch maintenance provider when one of its two 737-300s required a spare part in an aircraft-on-ground (AOG) situation.
Meantime the airline has signed a flight hour-based component support contract including pool access with AFI KLM E&M.
Cargo Air currently operates two 737-300 freighters but plans to add a third 737 to the fleet. All three aircraft are covered under the component support deal, according to the maintenance company.
