Cargojet leases a 757 from AWAS

Canada’s Cargojet has expanded its Boeing 757 freighter fleet with the addition of a leased aircraft from operating lessor AWAS.

The aircraft is the second 757 freighter that will be operated by Cargojet as the cargo operator continues to modernise its fleet.

Cargojet also operates 10 Boeing 727 freighters along with two 767 freighters, according to Flightglobal’s Ascend Online database.

Ascend shows the 757 freighter (MSN 24566) was built in 1989 and was previously operated by Icelandair.
