Cargolux Airlines has added Chongqing to its global network with twice weekly flights to Jianbai International airport from Luxembourg.

The freight carrier operated the first weekly service via Doha and Sharjah yesterday (14 May). Its return leg will be operated on 16 May via Singapore, Kuala Lumpur and Baku.

The second weekly service commences on 17 May and will reach Chongqing on 19 May via Tbilisi, Baku and Singapore. Its return leg will depart on the same day via Baku.

Frank Reimen, Cargolux president and chief executive, says he sees "a lot of potential" in Chongqing, noting expansion work scheduled for Jianbai airport's cargo facilities.
