LSG Sky Chefs (stand 4C54) is providing Michelin-starred cuisine to fellow Lufthansa Group subsidiary Brussels Airlines through an agreement with Belgian chef Julien Lahire.
From 1 April business class passengers on board Brussels Airlines flights to destinations in Africa and the USA have been offered meals from a menu created by Lahire, based on local ingredients from the Luxembourg region of Belgium.
The collaboration with Lahire is part of Brussels Airlines’ Belgian Star Chefs programme, which aims to showcase Michelin-starred chefs from across the Belgian provinces. Lahire’s menu will be available until July.
The menu for the month of April includes an appetiser of foie gras with mango and smoked eel, served with salted mixed nuts and wasabi. For their starter, business-class passengers will be offered chicken ballotines with walnuts, followed by a main course of shepherd’s pie with celery mousseline. Passengers will also be able to choose from two alternative, regular menus.
A Michelin-starred chef from the province of Flemish Brabant will take over the menu in August.
