Cathay Pacific Airways has posted a 5.4% decline in passenger traffic as measured in RPKs for October.
Passenger numbers rose by 1% to 2.4 million, says the Oneworld carrier, whose traffic figures include that of its subsidiary Dragonair.
The carrier's capacity as measured in ASKs decreased by 3.1%. Its passenger load factor fell by 1.8 percentage points to 78.3%, adds the airline.
On the cargo front, cargo volumes rose by 1.9% to 139,000t. The carrier's cargo and mail load factor for October fell by 2.2 percentage points to 64%.
