Cathay Pacific Airways' passenger traffic, as measured in RPKs, increased by 3.9% in August compared with the same period last year
Passenger numbers grew by 5.3% to 2.75 million, says the Oneworld carrier, whose traffic figures include those of its subsidiary, Dragonair.
The carrier's capacity, as measured in ASKs, was cut 0.4%. Its passenger load factor was up by 3.6 percentage points to 86.7%, the airline adds.
The amount of cargo and mail carried increased fractionally to 123,000t, while the carrier's cargo and mail revenue tonne kilometre rose by 1.4%. The carrier's cargo and mail load factor fell 3.2 percentage points to 58.7%.
Capacity, as measured in available cargo/mail tonne kilometre, was increased 6.9%.
