Cathay Pacific plans to raise frequencies on two services to the United States in 2014.

The carrier will introduce a fourth daily frequency on the Hong Kong-Los Angeles service on 1 June 2014, and raise the Hong Kong-Chicago service from seven to 10 times weekly from 2 August 2014, it says.

Additional services to the two cities will be operated using Boeing 777-300ER aircraft.

Innovata schedules show that Cathay Pacific competes with United Airlines on the Hong Kong-Chicago route. It is the sole operator on the Hong Kong-Los Angeles route.
