Philippine low-cost carrier Cebu Pacific has signed a six-year operating lease agreement with RBS Aviation Capital for two Airbus A320s.
The A320s will be delivered by March 2012, said the airline. These aircraft are in addition to the carrier's order of 27 A320s to be delivered from September until 2016, and A321neos to be delivered from 2017 to 2021, said the carrier.
Cebu Pacific's president and chief executive Lance Gokongwei said the two additional A320s will allow the carrier "to continue expanding aggressively in the Asia-Pacific region, especially as we await delivery of more brand-new Cebu Pacific aircraft".
The airline now operates a fleet of 10 A319s, 15 A320s and eight ATR 72-500s.
