Philippine low-cost carrier Cebu Pacific has received its 40th aircraft, a new Airbus A320.
This is Cebu Pacific's 22nd A320 and the carrier's fleet includes 10 Airbus A319s and eight ATR 72-500s. The next A320 aircraft is scheduled to be delivered in November, says the low-cost carrier.
Cebu Pacific will launch three more domestic services in October and four more international services in November and December. The carrier recently launched a Zamboanga-Cagayan de Oro service on 20 October.
The airline plans to operate international services from Iloilo to Hong Kong and Singapore, and from Cebu to Kuala Lumpur and Bangkok.
Between 2013 and 2021, the carrier will take delivery of 19 more A320 aircraft and 30 Airbus A321neo aircraft. It is slated to begin long-haul services in the 3rd quarter of 2013, with the arrival of four Airbus A330 aircraft from 2013 to 2014, says the airline.
