Philippine carrier Cebu Pacific has applied to the country's civil aeronautics board to be allocated rights to serve Russia.

In its application, the carrier says it plans to operate a four times weekly Manila-Moscow service, using Airbus A330 aircraft.

It did not, however, provide a launch date for the service.

In addition, Cebu Pacific has also applied for additional allocation of entitlements to Australia.

In its application, it plans to operate twice and thrice weekly services on routes from Manila to Melbourne and Sydney respectively, starting February 2014.

The carrier will deploy Airbus A330 aircraft on both routes.

Innovata schedules show that Cebu Pacific will compete with Philippine Airlines on services from Manila to Sydney and Melbourne.
